You know there's this thing called Linux. It's been around for 20 years because people figured out that Microsoft and Bill Gates were assholes at least 20 years ago and they wanted a free alternative that was better. It actually works on all the computers that you own probably. It's free to download. It's interchangeable with all the files and it's not even hard to use anymore. It pretty much looks like Windows now if you want to choose a distribution like that. Stop bitching about Windows and download Linux and use it.

Micro-Jews did it with everything.

- Windows Media Player removed / prevented from playing most media files.

You have to download some shit player that they have approved from "The Windows Store".

Ya'll lazy faggots should have been using Notepad++ already, anyway.

Is anything better the OpenOffice?

[ - ] anon 1912428 1 point 2 monthsFeb 23, 2025 07:40:49 ago (+1/-0)

Libreoffice

[ - ] NeonGreen 0 points 2 monthsFeb 23, 2025 02:49:16 ago (+0/-0)

I prefer OnlyOffice it's much smaller.

[ - ] i_scream_trucks -1 points 2 monthsFeb 23, 2025 02:28:29 ago (+0/-1)

yes, paper and a red crayon.

fingerpainting on a toilet wall with your own shit.

open office is great an all but its '100% compatibility with other software suites' has a habit of ignoring shit like... fonts, font sizes, alignments, indentations, page layouts.

i mean the words are there but what you spent fucking hours on making on open office looks like grade 2 shit when someone opens it with microsoft office, and the same in reverse.

there are plenty of free alternatives.

Imagine using Windows.
Fucking NPCs!

[ - ] anon 9836169 0 points 2 monthsFeb 22, 2025 23:27:17 ago (+0/-0)

Totally. Only faggots like dangus use Windows.

[ - ] anon 4456796 0 points 2 monthsFeb 22, 2025 23:51:48 ago (+1/-1)

If you want to do more than just email and facebook, linux is NOT an option.

[ - ] anon 9836169 0 points 2 monthsFeb 23, 2025 02:40:53 ago (+0/-0)

You are retarded. And a cuck.

[ - ] anon 4456796 0 points 2 monthsFeb 23, 2025 10:47:30 ago (+0/-0)*

not an argument, I want linux to be good but everytime I try it I run into problems trying to do the simplest of things. Problems that I don't have in windows.

Music production, fans and temp monitoring, gaming on multiple monitors, Complete UI configuration etc etc.

Linux works when all you do is browse and email. fuck you

There are many ways to make windows less invasive and debloat it like the chris titus script or one could use the LTSC version too lightyears better than any linux distro.

[ - ] i_scream_trucks -1 points 2 monthsFeb 23, 2025 02:26:32 ago (+0/-1)

dont need to, all my machines run windows.

[ - ] anon 1545359 2 points 2 monthsFeb 22, 2025 19:50:20 ago (+2/-0)*

FUCK Microsoft! Bill apparently named the company after his penis!

[ - ] anon 1243767 1 point 2 monthsFeb 23, 2025 00:44:41 ago (+1/-0)

Abiword is a great replacement.

[ - ] anon 3528295 1 point 2 monthsFeb 23, 2025 00:25:43 ago (+1/-0)

Yea I was trying write a resume from scratch one time. Microsoft word wanted money. I went on google and it gave me one already laid out and everything. Took me 5 minutes to fill it out. Don’t pay for shit unless you think they deserve it. Never be threatened or scared or annoyed into paying. If you read my comment this far send me your nudes

[ - ] Kozel 1 point 2 monthsFeb 22, 2025 22:33:38 ago (+1/-0)

libreoffice works fine

people love brandfagging. oh noooo its not microsoft I need all the features microsoft has. oh really, you use vbmacros? no but I might use vbmacros one day I need microsoft!!!

[ - ] i_scream_trucks 0 points 2 monthsFeb 23, 2025 02:31:53 ago (+0/-0)

its got fuck all to do with brandfagging.

everything to do with market share and what the vast majority of mouth breathing desk monkeys are capable of absorbing that is outside of their direct line of employment, and the vast majority use ms office, which libre and open office, while claiming 'compatibility' are pretty much anything but. it will open files, but it fucks everything else, ive found this out the hard way a shitload of times, you do not want to be compiling a fucking resume in open office, saving it to 'ms office' format (because thats what most people use) or pdf, then mailing that motherfucker off, only to get a 'what is this shit?' email from the other end because its a fucking text wall with some punctuation peppered through it.

again, if linux stuff was far simpler to install and run, and was more compatible, youd be in with a shot, until then, the only fucking 'brand fagging' is linux users.

the machines ive got i have specifically set up and use them that way for a reason.

[ - ] Kozel 0 points 2 monthsFeb 23, 2025 04:54:04 ago (+0/-0)

used libre office for 10 years in a tech role on windows never had a problem

shouldn't be sending resumes in .docx in the first place, printing or saving it to pdf makes it look exactly like it looks on your screen

just CoMpIlEd a resume in open office using a .docx template and exported it to pdf no problem the other week

libre office isn't linux stuff its available for mac and windows and its primary users are on mac and windows... linux users have only office anyway

unless there are vbmacros or some crazy excel applications using microsoft office is retarded, paying for it is triple retarded, and you specifically are quadruple retarded

[ - ] anon 2865672 [op] 0 points 2 monthsFeb 23, 2025 09:37:41 ago (+0/-0)

What's the deal with docx?

[ - ] Kozel 0 points 2 monthsFeb 23, 2025 17:57:55 ago (+0/-0)

what's the deal with your gay question

[ - ] anon 2887736 1 point 2 monthsFeb 22, 2025 20:56:32 ago (+1/-0)

[ - ] anon 2865672 [op] 0 points 2 monthsFeb 23, 2025 09:37:06 ago (+0/-0)

What's the deal with .docx?

[ - ] anon 1912428 0 points 2 monthsFeb 23, 2025 07:39:51 ago (+0/-0)

Or just install some other equivalent to shitty word pad. Notepad++ or Libre writer for starters.

[ - ] anon 5182985 0 points 2 monthsFeb 23, 2025 04:19:37 ago (+0/-0)

It's called libre office you fucks

[ - ] NeonGreen 0 points 2 monthsFeb 23, 2025 02:48:26 ago (+0/-0)

I mean if you can't install an open source word processor. You're a fucking retard.

You're probably correct about the reasoning.

[ - ] Reunto 0 points 2 monthsFeb 22, 2025 23:19:43 ago (+0/-0)

No need for wordpad. Just use notepad

[ - ] anon 4050090 0 points 2 monthsFeb 22, 2025 21:00:08 ago (+0/-0)

[ - ] anon 2573544 1 point 2 monthsFeb 22, 2025 21:32:34 ago (+1/-0)

[ - ] anon 7023726 0 points 2 monthsFeb 22, 2025 22:43:56 ago (+0/-0)

Edit in dos is all you need.

[ - ] i_scream_trucks -1 points 2 monthsFeb 23, 2025 02:25:39 ago (+0/-1)

except you dont need to.

no one buying permanent license keys for offline software means you can pick up full legit office keys for $10 a pop. did the same for win 10 pro. aside from that - *there is software available that it people can get a hold of that lets just say is a Service for Key Management but just in a different order, which just fuckin activates all of them using brute forced digital keys. does work but you have to renew it from time to time and the software aint safe if you didnt get it from the author.
