The income for our federal government used to come almost 100% from tariffs. 95% should come from that today as well. Right now it's 1%. We pay for a government that actively tries to destroy us. Fuck that.

Yep. We're gonna get taxed on the tariff increases by the foriengers passing on the cost and we're gonna get our income taxes raised because of all the other shit trumps doing. We are going to get fucked even more. If Trump wanted to help us, he would have refunded us and dropped the income tax first.

Property tax is local, but if we can still get rid of it I’m all for it. We have so many taxes to get rid of, especially inheritance taxes.

Without a detailed explanation of those income growth projections, this is all just horseshit. It's just as likely that—outside of a few industries—economic activity will suffer, and you'll end up paying higher taxes on top of higher prices for goods (whether imported or not).

I'm curious to see what the effects of high tariffs will be as part of an overall economic strategy, but I guarantee you that they're not the magic bullet this tiktok-brain video would have you believe. There are other—harder—things which need to be done (some good first steps have been taken, but the scale has to be far greater to turn things around).
