A shark bit the hands off a woman along the shore of a Caribbean beach while she was trying to take a picture with it.

The 55-year-old woman, who is understood to be Canadian, had only strayed a few yards into the water when she was >attacked last Friday.

According to the local authorities she “attempted to engage” with the shark when the 6ft-long predatory fish >struck off Thompson Cove Beach in the Turks and Caicos Islands.

selfies can be deadly , amirite

This is one of the best examples I've ever heard of social media making people retarded. She rated clout as more important than her limbs that day.

Psychologically, it's fascinating. Look, forget what species of shark it is, or what she believed the fact was. It's a fucking shark...in the water...with you. You take your phone out to get a pic with it? How could your basic instincts be this undeveloped? "Hey look, a grizzly bear...I know! Let's get a pic with it!"

making people retarded

Nah, they were already retarded. What social media does is allow us to see them being retarded. This sort of shit goes on all the time and we never know of it. The advent of the internet shows us just how fucking retarded most people are.

I like to say that, while 100IQ is the average, it's not really all that smart.

The advent of the internet shows us just how fucking retarded most people are.

Yea, pre-internet it would get a couple of lines in a local rag - 'Tourist bitten by Shark at Beach. The end.'

Now days these things are replete with first person selfie/ video, bystander/ surveillance cams, and a third-string msm report/ follow up interview and goyfund.

Reminds me of the George Carlin bit where he reminds people "Just remember how stupid the average person is, and then consider that half the population is dumber than that."

People start becoming human somewhere in the 120 to 130 range. True intelligence is above that.

"Hey look, a grizzly bear...I know! Let's get a pic with it!"

believe it or not this has happened already. there was a dude in alaska that filmed himself being eaten by a grizzly bear

https://www.mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/screaming-couple-eaten-alive-flesh-28114286

hmm found these most recent case. ppl dont learn lmao

[ - ] CHIRO 3 points 3 monthsFeb 16, 2025 11:23:32 ago (+3/-0)

Damn. Brutal. I would even consider this a different case. Stupidity, sure. But at least Treadwell knew what he was in for. He knew something about bears, and he took risks he deemed worthwhile. With the shark case, I'm thinking it's just complete lack of critical thought and instincts, like someone alien to nature touring it with complete naivete. Everything is just a bauble for instagram posts, and then one eats your hands.

[ - ] dosvydanya_freedomz [op] 2 points 3 monthsFeb 16, 2025 11:30:45 ago (+2/-0)

i wouldnt dream of being near 10 inch off a grizzly bear. not in my wildest dreams. its stupid to try to get near these creatures for whatever reason. there's a guy in russia that has a domesticated black bear as a pet i think. the idiot, think its a mascot. just wait until it remembers that its a bear. a similar case could happen

btw, i know pretty well that circuses had domesticated bears in the past. i'm fully aware of that but again. even if they pay me 1 million bucks to touch one i wouldnt do it. i value my life more

the canadian woman just suffered for her narcissism

[ - ] CHIRO 2 points 3 monthsFeb 16, 2025 11:40:00 ago (+2/-0)

I completely agree. I think they're fascinating, and having a tamed grizzly is a nice day dream, but nature is nature. I think there is a line to draw when it comes to caution. You can become sheltered, but at the same time, being mature about the way you go out into the world means recognizing that safety is not the norm. Nature cares about you getting eaten as much as it cares about the house fly you smash.

[ - ] Sector2 1 point 3 monthsFeb 16, 2025 14:08:30 ago (+1/-0)

There are a bunch of guys in Russia with black bear pets, and some (ahem) in Canada too.

[ - ] HonkyMcNiggerSpic 2 points 3 monthsFeb 16, 2025 11:37:50 ago (+2/-0)

There was some dumb fuck somewhere who got kilt by a black bear trying to get a selfie

[ - ] rzr97 2 points 3 monthsFeb 16, 2025 13:48:06 ago (+2/-0)

According to various commenters that were there, it's a fucking lie and they were AFRAID of sharks. Kike sensationalism.

[ - ] CHIRO 0 points 3 monthsFeb 16, 2025 14:16:04 ago (+0/-0)

That would actually make a lot more sense.

But we've traded one absurdity for another: that a shark biting off a woman's hands was not interesting enough by itself and needed to be sensationalized even more.

I'm not sure which story I'd prefer to be reality.

[ - ] Sector2 0 points 3 monthsFeb 16, 2025 15:34:59 ago (+0/-0)

It has been determined that the tourist had attempted to engage with the animal from the shallows in an attempt to take photographs,” the authorities said.

Article says the shark was swimming there for 40 minutes, on video, before she attempted to get photos with it. If anyone was afraid of it, going into the water with it would make no sense. It IS yahoo though, so who knows.

[ - ] GetWoke 8 points 3 monthsFeb 16, 2025 11:29:37 ago (+8/-0)

On the upside, she’s going back home to Canada for treatment, which will probably be a cyanide pill.

[ - ] dosvydanya_freedomz [op] 4 points 3 monthsFeb 16, 2025 11:33:59 ago (+4/-0)

yeah they will tell her that her "quality of life" has suffered so much now that she's eligible for euthanasia or some shit

[ - ] PotatoWhisperer2 4 points 3 monthsFeb 16, 2025 13:02:42 ago (+4/-0)

Is she White?

**checks article

Oh yeah, suicide booth time.

[ - ] PeckerwoodPerry 8 points 3 monthsFeb 16, 2025 10:39:18 ago (+8/-0)

What's funny is that she's understood to be Canadian, not because they ID'd her, but because of her behavior.

[ - ] con77 5 points 3 monthsFeb 16, 2025 10:50:34 ago (+5/-0)

Fukn A!

[ - ] HonkyMcNiggerSpic 5 points 3 monthsFeb 16, 2025 11:34:35 ago (+5/-0)

I don't know what the fuck it is but TV always pushes sharks as non-dangerous. "oy vey, they mistook you for a fish". The same shit they do with Pitbulls. I always tell lefties to swim towards sharks and start flapping and some of them actually say "oy vey sharks don't eat humans". Stupid fucks.

[ - ] Belfuro 0 points 3 monthsFeb 16, 2025 13:22:20 ago (+0/-0)

Yep. And so we stopped hunting them and now their numbers are exploding around human biomes

[ - ] dassar 4 points 3 monthsFeb 16, 2025 17:34:47 ago (+4/-0)

Fish Around Find Out.

Stupid normie msm propagating utter deliberated conflicting nonsense -

From this article :

'It is estimated that around 83 people a year are the victims of unprovoked shark attacks. In some parts of the world shark attacks are on the rise, notably off the coast of southern Australia and the US eastern seaboard.'

Ok, 83 victims worldwide, shark attacks on the rise.

Same stupid site - hyper link from above article:

'Despite the attack, research suggests that global shark bites are actually becoming less common. In 2024, there were 47 reported cases of unprovoked bites worldwide, a slight decrease from the five-year average of 64 incidents, according to data from the Florida Museum of Natural History's International Shark Attack File.'

Ok then, 47 cases worldwide, and shark attacks becoming less common.

Never ever a straight coherent answer. Keep the masses confused and they'll fall for anything you tell them.

i have seen canadians lately commenting online that they were ready to throw hands but this is not what i thought they meant

[ - ] con77 3 points 3 monthsFeb 16, 2025 11:00:17 ago (+3/-0)

Oi matey! That's not a dolphin!

Which would also easily kill you if you put your arm around it.

[ - ] con77 2 points 3 monthsFeb 16, 2025 10:58:10 ago (+2/-0)

EH! let's put me arm around this 6ft 100 lb ferocious wild beast with a brain the size of a pea! What could go wrong EH?

[ - ] TheNoticing 3 points 3 monthsFeb 16, 2025 12:25:02 ago (+3/-0)

They're much heavier than 100 lbs.

[ - ] con77 2 points 3 monthsFeb 16, 2025 10:53:01 ago (+2/-0)

I knew cuckadians were stupid.
But this is full blown retarded.

Bull sharks have the highest level of testosterone of ANY animal on the planet.

[ - ] HonkyMcNiggerSpic 3 points 3 monthsFeb 16, 2025 11:50:21 ago (+3/-0)

Bull shark & Tiger sharks are the scariest to me. They will gladly eat humans. Its not "oy vey they thought you were a fish".

[ - ] RollinDaGrassTyson 0 points 3 monthsFeb 17, 2025 19:45:40 ago (+0/-0)

I was hoping there would be video of it happening.

If you're also left feeling blueballed, here's an even better video.

[ - ] dassar 1 point 3 monthsFeb 16, 2025 16:04:54 ago (+1/-0)

It is understood she had one of her arms amputated below the wrist...

So just her hand then ??/.

JFc, author of the article is retarded.

[ - ] observation1 1 point 3 monthsFeb 16, 2025 13:26:41 ago (+1/-0)

Its because they chum the water with dead fish and sell shark diving encounters. Even mentioned in the article. Draws them in.

I guess she’s only going to be able to use her mouth now. More work for her. More pleasure for him. At least she’ll shut up for a bit.

Surprised nobody has yet pointed this out.
