Like many professions they flooded the market with idiots to attempt to do the same job with cheaper labor. It went about as well as you would think. Everything is falling apart, failing, and destroying itself while getting ever more expensive.

On a completely unrelated topic, did you know that a business can't hire people too far above or below the going wage? If they do, and the IRS catches them, there's all sorts of questions they have to answer that could lead to massive fines and whatnot.

Second, the trade has been hyped and shit hiring policies made it look like there was a shortage even if that isn't the case for half a decade now. It has forever been that you need to know full stack, all project management systems under the sun etc. This leads to artificial threshold for new entries, and that is supplemented with ((knowledge migrants)).
