In February 2025, the Trump administration announced plans to sell over $7 billion in weapons to Israel, including thousands of missiles and bombs.
The sale includes $6.75 billion for various munitions and guidance kits, and $660 million for 3,000 Hellfire missiles, with deliveries starting as early as this year and extending into 2028.
These weapons will all be "paid for" by USA.
These packages are part of the ongoing U.S. commitment to Israel's security, which includes an existing 10-year Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) providing $3.3 billion annually in Foreign Military Financing (FMF) from 2019 through 2028.
How is it "selling" if we're giving them free money on top of the weapons? IT'S LIKE WE ARE PAYING THEM TO TAKE OUR MONEY AND WEAPONS.
I really hope this USAID shit blows the lid off of just how wasteful our government is when it comes to spending, and I hope that it actually leads to change. We shouldn't be sending millions of dollars to South Africa with the intent of "making gay south Africans feel better about themselves". We have so many fucking problems domestically, and there seems to be no money to solve our own problems.
But we have plenty to just fucking hand out to the world's shitholes. The annual spend is 6.5 trillion. It doesn't matter if it's been tagged discretionary or non-discretionary. All of it is being utilized to similar effect. Also, due to our continued incompetence as a people, last year alone, interest added 3.65 trillion to the principle of the national debt; that's in addition to the 2 trillion dollar sum added by borrowing due to deficit spending.
