the whole high speed rail thing is a great example of the bullshit that comes out of that place.

they have them, because germany and japan handed them fully built ones, and most of the technology to at least build their own... but wouldnt teach them how to make the critical components, especially after they cut out both countries and started building their own, aside from the really high tech stuff... but its more serious -

its CNC machines apparently. you need the real high priced ones to be able to build anything at western tech level, and theyre banned from that shit not even russia wants to go there. the example there being the bearings required to make the high speed trains... they cant make them, so the high speed train system is now shaking itself apart.
