Why does everyone have stupid headphones on just to record a conversation?
Retarded looking.

People use headphones in a recording studio podcast for several reasons. Headphones allow podcasters to monitor audio levels and sound quality in real-time, helping them identify and correct any issues during recording. They can hear their own voice and adjust their speaking volume or microphone position on the fly, preventing issues such as peaking or audio distortion that can detract from the listener's experience.

Headphones also block external noise, helping podcasters remain unaffected by distractions in their environment, which leads to cleaner recordings by minimizing extraneous sounds picked up by the microphone.
Additionally, they enable podcasters to hear exactly what the listeners will hear, allowing them to craft an engaging audio experience by perfecting the pacing, tone, and energy of the show.

Wearing headphones during multitrack sessions ensures that each participant can be heard clearly without bleeding sound into other participants' tracks.
This is particularly important when recording in less-than-ideal environments with background noise, such as a home studio.

Podcasters can also use headphones to monitor the audio quality, ensuring their voice is captured clearly and at an appropriate volume.
This direct feedback helps them adjust their speaking volume or microphone position on the fly, preventing issues such as peaking or audio distortion.

Lastly, headphones prevent the microphone from picking up the output sound from speakers, which would cause an echo or feedback loop, maintaining audio clarity.

Icemonkey...I "was" with you 100% of the way..as someone who's brain is too large for encapsulation and experiences IQ leakage due to grey matter bulging, I have to wear headphones 23.7 hrs of the day so I feel that I'm exempt from your criticism...but @NoRefunds provided all the technical reasons, which I never would have known if not for his post, for the use of headphones outside of containing ear leakage...I suggest that you take note and immediately retract your statement and issue a plea for leniency from all who sided with you before reading NoRefunds' award winning post.
You can keep my up vote anyways but I won't get caught like that again, now I have to adjust the fitting of my headphones due to the excessive pain caused by extreme temporal lobe activity....it seems that I experience more adverse brain effects when frequenting this site.

While I understand the need to wear headphones while operating a crane, NoRefund's response was AI generated. No one types like that. Secondly, the look is Ghey. Kind of like faggots with their smartphone in their faggoty face all day. Looks and is stupid. Did Rush wear headphones in the EIB studio? No.

...actually, my headphones are swivel hitched to my tinfoil phrygian cap, I also had a chin strap affixed to it so as to prevent head wobble from the propeller blade that I retrofitted as an air circulation system when in enclosed places...I get a lot of attention wearing it, the one minor issue is that the 3 6ft blades leave me with limited options for seating in many places...and it's powered by one AAA Everready battery...the broads love it and I'm always getting hit on.
