I think that's the comical part. If that chunk of land became part of the USA, it still would be America first, just not in the original sense everyone was thinking.

It's like renaming the Gulf of Mexico into the Gulf of America.

Or the contemplation of taking over the Panama Cannal.

And imagine the State of Israel as the 52nd state. "America first" would be held true.
