Yes. It is suspended between two wooden planks to make it a little safer. You can see it quite clearly in the news artcle's pictures in front of the girders. It is what powers the trains.

EDIT: Fun fact:Under the yellow part of the platform closest to the edge are small cubbyholes where someone who has fallen onto the tracks could scramble to in an effort to protect themselves from certain death.
