Steak is too damn expensive

The rich can afford it, the poor get it for free on my tax dollar. The only people who can't afford steak are the hard working lower/middle class. You ready to riot yet?

There is a burger King in a neighboring town where I can purchase Whopper patties for $1 each.

As they are cooked over open flames, they are a nice treat. I had 5 for lunch today salted. Needed something filling after all that fasting.

Target is not a real grocery store. I can find more groceries I acutally want at Dollar General.

We have no dollar stores here. Nor ALDI etc. Sadly for me Target is the lowest priced groceries in town.

World human population is up 5.1 billion since the 1950's

The plain fact of the matter is, we keep breeding and are frankly running out of food producing regions. The grazing parries and old farm lands are getting built over with massive track housing.


Word to the wise: This trend is only going to get worse and worse....in a mere 36 months (think back how much and how cheap food was just 40 months ago) there will be even less food available.

I can get a large, dry aged tbone for about 23 yank bucks.

And a 300g small but decent ribeye/sirloin for about 8 yank bucks.

Budget ribeye for 250g is about 5-6 yank bucks.

Minced beef is still cheap, but it's not the same.
