How can gov workers be so fucking stupid?

submitted by BeholdTheLight to Rants 4 monthsJan 31, 2025 10:16:29 ago (+4/-0)     (Rants)

I've talked to a few, and its as if their entire part of the brain dealing with logic, self preservation is destroyed. These people have so little understanding of civil discourse or even basic civil ethics, it boggles the mind they work for the government. And with Trump, it seems like these people would rather spite their face and destroy their own state than reduce spending by even a penny.

I was trying to explain how if you overtax the citizenry PAYING you, eventually they will run out of money leading to an inevitable tax increase on the gov person's own job. They didn't get it, since they thought their own public job was equivalent to a private one. Per their own words, they get a W2 like anyone else, so what's the issue?

Those same citizens will also eventually run out of money, leading to forced austerity measures. Which is what happened, they cut services left and right to balance the budget. The citizen gets screwed again so some public employee useless fuck can keep their pension. They didn't get it, they just thought that they could constantly rob people for more money and keep pawning it off on someone else. I tried explaining how city/state get money from the feds (dont personally agree with it since its extortion), and they said that's not true, they get paid by the city, so why does fed funding matter.

Instead of rebutting my points, they just grunted, told me im too depressing and deflected the conversation. So it looks like my liberal shithole of a place will get ready for a screeching increase in taxes this year, as they have to plug up close to half their budget which comes from the feds. Ironically they just increased the tolls considerably, only to increase the fares on the public transport, which is EXACTLY what everyone thought would happen. So not only are you being charged more money one way, you're being punished for alternative options.

Every person I’ve known who has worked for the government has been a flaming libtard.

You are correct, and you are witnessing human nature at the fall of a civilization. Unless you have strong leadership, you will dilute the country till there is no country. It is called "selling the farm". It is nice to give things away, but at some point, there is nothing left.

logic, self preservation

Circular logic turns into conflicts of reason aka self denial and mutual destruction.

These people have so little understanding of civil

Civil stands under government; government stands under private. A private few suggest understanding (standing under) to mind control (govern ment) a civil many. To civilize implies domestication of natural through artificial.

they work for the government

Only nature works; each mind (ment) within is employed by nature, which many ignore for artificial control (govern) by few.

their own state

They represent civic servants of a private state. Their servitude is based upon keeping civic many in bondage to the private state of few.

overtax the citizenry PAYING you

a) A tax represents the burden each citizen willingly carries along. A citizen cannot be overtaxed, yet the threat of over-taxation motivates the citizen to carry more burdens willingly.

b) Consenting to a suggestion implies buying into, while selling self out. Pay-ment implies to pay/pacare/pacify ones mind by selling/sealing it.

they will run out of money

Nature cannot run out; each thing coming into being within nature can be tricked to hold onto suggested currency, while ignoring perceivable current.

equivalent to a private one

Private implies set apart from one another, not together within a civilization/society/nation/religion/family etc.

Equality (inception towards death) differentiates privacy (life) by setting each one apart from one another. Few within tempt many together as to distract from the natural order of things with artificial constructs.

In other words...a chose ONE implies private; ones choice to join a civil union implies public.

why does fed funding matter

If you go to 1709 New York Ave NW, Washington, DC 20006 and knock at the Federal Reserve Board, then you'll notice that it's matter.

The foundation of matter (life) implies motion (inception towards death)...not other matter. Few tempt many to ignore perceivable motion for suggested matter.

Sleight of hand for those with eyes to see...

"Forever trusting who we are"
"And nothing else matters"

Guess it's gonna suck to be them when they have to actually commute again, huh? (Ref: Trump has cut out 'telecommuting' for all gov't employees)

its not even that, its the absurd arrogance and entitlement from these idiots who think they are beneath the rule of laws. They laud it in your face with their hubris and arrogance that they are better than you

most are jesuit educated or jesuit influenced. that a gov employee can work 20 tears and get a pension that pays the same is negative return on investment. then add the welfare/warfare state to that. and NGOs.

Bureaucracy: The Red Tape that Prevents Economic Growth

“Like most generalizations, these are not always true, but the incentives that apply specifically to tax-funded government bureaucracies make them true much more often than not. They make a striking contrast with the almost exactly opposite behavior observable in private enterprise.
That young bureaucrat will profit from deliberate ineffectiveness to the extent that he can get himself viewed as an asset by his superiors and a non-threat by his peers. His superiors want him to produce justifications for the enlargement of their domains. His peers simply ask that he not tread on their provinces.
Milton Friedman noted that bureaucratic resource allocation involves spending other people’s money on other people, so there are no compelling reasons to control either cost or quality — but a bureaucrat will learn, given time, how to “spend on others” in such a fashion that the primary benefit flows to himself. To do this, bureaucrats must manage perceptions, so that their work seems both necessary and successful.”

In a way I would love to see the poison pill (i know id be affected too) of seeing these assholes lose half their budget and have to make cutbacks. Imagine how pissed people will be when a 10%+ tax rate jumps to 25% tax rate + federal income tax for nothing.
