Not so sure. The reporting right now is extremely confusing, with some reports saying the Pilot (male) was flying, others saying the co-pilot (female) was.

Since it was a training mission, I'm betting the co-pilot was flying. The Pilot was instructor rated and had over 1500 hours already. Also, even though it's still early, I always find it telling when they slow walk certain information out to the public. They certainly didn't hesitate to name and publish a picture of the pilot (White guy). Who knows how all this will go.

A Crew Chief isn't a pilot, it's a mechanic whose basically in charge of the maintenance and operations of the helo.

Yes, I just found that out. The US Army/NG USAF uses different terminology than the branch of service I'm familiar with for describing similar MOS/rates. Nonetheless, they've currently named only two pilots/crew members of the three (males), but not the third pilot (supposedly female).
