Using a VPN consistently with burner accounts, and at around the same time accessing accounts already associated with them... If the timing is less than 10 minutes apart, and even if this occurs just once, there will be assumptions it is the same person.
This is the fucking easiest job in the god damn world. All he has to do is pull reports from servers that aren't supposed to exist. He didn't even write the software that he's using. Basically just a Facebook for cops.
Using a split tunnel helps avoid this issue. Most VPN providers allow you to request a new IP address on demand, so even if you don't use a split tunnel you could change addresses on the fly.
You would be flabbergasted on the callouts to microsoft domains the windows os makes. Then add your browser most likey chrome or mozilla, then your other shit you forgot to close like email. My router lights up like a christmas tree. Call outs ever few seconds. For most maybe 90%+ of shared vpn users are morons. Also the traffic can be identified not decrypted, so if you wanted to be all pro use some kind of obfuscation. Of coarse this is all counting on you trusting your vpn to not be logging.
