FWIW, the drug task force in Sacramento used Pacific Bell vans for surveillance activities in the eighties and nineties.

This morning while walking the dog I said to my wife “I ought to go buy a cheap van, paint ICE on the side, and park it in front of the local high school.”

She didn’t think it would be a good use of my time or money.

ICE/Immigration enforcement vehicles are pretty well "badged-up". They're not "stealth" by any way,shape,or form.
