kek my retirement is looking closer to being in a tent under a bridge somewhere so im not actually entirely against slapping a few containers somewhere. its not the worst idea for a bunch of people who arent complete and utter worthless trash as at least not being on the streets.

How are shipping container homes any better than living in a trailer park?
Not trying to disrespect the trailer park boys out there but the aspiration is never to live in a trailer park it was the fallback when you couldn't afford a house.
Now because owning a house or a townhouse is so unattainable even the trailer park is unattainable the aspiration is to live in a sea-can!
and therein lies the problem. what do you suggest those in the middle do?
go sit on a park bench somewhere until an answer appears out of nowhere?
i mean everyone is different im not referring to cunts who sit around mope and do nothing to help themselves by any means, but i gotta move out of the shithole im in at the moment soon because the damn bathroom is starting to fall apart. the $300 rental townhouse i had to move out of mid pandemic is now $900 per week. and i know the owner. between the agent and her theyre gouging the fuck out of people. plenty of families way further up the queue than my single bachelor ass! i dont really have the time to sit on a park bench and wait, gotta fucking work and pay the bills i have now!
I saved up, bought land that has no utilities, learned how to build a house and homestead, did so, now I live in a 4 bedroom, two bath home. Two boys, loving wife, pets, livestock, garden.
I suggest those in the middle, lime me, learn skills they need to achieve the lifestyle they want.
I'll bet that container contraption cost more than my real house.
There are plenty of affordable homes near where I live, just needing a little elbow grease. No need to live in the trailer park or container park, just put some effort and time in a fixer upper, then sell and move up. That's how my grandparents did it, that's how my parents did it, that's how I did it, that's how I'm teaching my kids to do it.
