I then remember Natural Ice coming out and that shit was nasty. It would give me a hangover from hell. ICE beer does not agree with my soul. My cousin started drinking it and it made him swell up. Same with that Icehouse shit. My fav beer in the old days was Michelob light in the bottles but it became hard to find. Then I was big on buying cases of those pony Budweiser bottles. Quit drinking for years and started back a couple years ago and now I'm on that damn Yuengling.

I've wondered about Yuengling, It's not sold where I am... It really gained popularity during the Bud Light insanity...

For some reason, Mickey's Big Mouths & Little Kings were a staple at our weekend Poker Nights... We had a friend whose parents were well-To-Do, and his parents went out quite a bit on the weekends, Plus he had older friends that had fake ID's. He'd call the boys, (we were literally boys, at 14-15 years old), and we played poker and drank beer while his parents were gone. His dad was Irish and had a nasty temper, Mine was Sicilian, and he had an even worst temper. Neither of them made a big deal about us drinking, as long as we weren't stupid and made it obvious, or got into trouble. Eventually, when we started High School, the group got bigger and the drinking became more constant... MAN! Those were Great times! I Miss 'em...

We were on those Mickeys Big Mouths in the late 80's. They were good. Yuengling has an acquired taste but I've developed a taste for it.

I wish we had Yuengling around here, When I first heard of them, I thought they were Chinese. Come to find out that they are one of the oldest breweries in America, if not the oldest. I'm going to pick up some Mickey's Big Mouths next time I'm out....

I also thought it was Chinese beer and said fuck nope. Then I found out that its the oldest beer in America so I tried it and like it. They also have a light version but haven't tried it yet but I'm planning on it. It may be better than the full flavor IDK. I haven't seen mickeys around my area forever.

I'll have to look for it around here. My local grocer doesn't carry it, but maybe someone else does.

I won't ever forget Lucky Lager 12-packs in 10-ounce bottles. It was the cheapest beer you could find and was a good drunk for just a few dollars. The rebus under the bottle cap was a sobriety test -- over time, the rebuses got harder and harder to solve.

We had something like that in college, for us it was Milwaukee's Best, we called it "The BEAST"! It was the official float trip beer. I was in a Fraternity, we'd go floating, and find beers in the water, the beer was so cheap and plentiful, guy and gals in our group would tip, and lose them in the stream and not even worry about going after them.

I'm sure I drank that at one time or another. I've always had persnickity taste in beer, preferring the more expensive European imports (mostly because they had a richer and hoppier flavor, particularly the pilsners), but for just everyday drinking beer, I liked Schlitz, Hamm, and Oly. Lucky Lager wasn't great, but it was cheap, which in most circumstances made it preferable to me, perpetually broke and going to junior college.
