Now that's fucking impressive. The only way I could see it is if she knew (and I still don't know) if the OpenAI giga-datacenter was going to use non-nvidia asics or something. That would have also lowered their stock.

I also like how R1 doesn't remove the utility of nvidia hardware. It just means consumers will buy the hardware and run R1 (and or smaller firms) instead of large tech companies. The value of nvidia clearly isn't whether or not they will have sales. It's whether or not they will fit into some pipeline of concentrated power.

That shows that the real currency of this world is not cash flows of money but instead power. Nvidia has a reduce opportunity to trade in power and they will be stuck selling graphics cards to consumers instead. The stock market does not like this.
