We could buy the place and evict the squatters, then treat for parasites. It's not much more of a fixer than our state, and we'd have a direct connection to Alaska. That would just leave the railroad to Hawaii to have all US states connected by ground.

I'd love to put up some of those "how to contact ICE" stickers, but they'd probably mount a criminal investigation to find the perpetrator. Guy leaving tire marks on the BLM road mural got jail time, and they tried for a $90,000 fine.
