No matter what the field, use a headhunter, he gets a cut, accept that and he will find you the job and work to get you started asap. Because you making money means he is making money (he gets a cut, you never see the real number anyway). If you are good, the contract as temp expires and they hire you on at the better rate (without paying the agent anymore)
