I dunno. Maybe similar to how 'pomf2' only works for some, while 'pomf' works for everyone.

Similar but different. Pomf2 is a certificate security issue. They have metadata that indicates a super high level of security is needed, but they don't deliver on what some browsers expect for that class of SSL.

Catbox I think has edge servers and some of them end up with chewed up data.

I was able to get 16kb data from catbox but clearly that isn't enough to play a video. It looks like gvid is also getting fed less than a whole video so it can't really recover it.

Edit: Or IDK because I was able to wget it on my desktop. 464K.

Why my browser, gvid, and you all have a problem... and several users and my desktop's wget don't have a problem. It makes no sense.

Edit again: It looks like it's not catbox. I took the wgetted file and uploaded it to gvid and got the same problem. It has to be a browser and codec pairing issue. Both catbox and gvid are using http 206 (partial response). The client is supposed to request the specific chunks it needs. I guess if the browser can't read the codec it doesn't even read more data from the server.
