is ok. i dont even own a truck and i feel the same way.
tfw about a month after i buy a 2006 sedan theres a newspaper article 'why wont people give up this?' (picture of mid 00s sedan) - the answer is - because there was nothing wrong with them then or now, and because they were cop cars taxis and every other kind of fleet car, there are parts everywhere and even street shitter level mechanics can get them from 'every seal and spring fucked' to 'its running' pretty fucking quick and 'ok so nothing but a rattle from... i dont know' pretty soon after. (the fucking cupholders could never have been designed this shit on this damn fairmont and some bit of plastic somewhere must keep getting caught in rim spokes...)
i bought it because its appropriate for my job and circumstance. there is no EV that will do the job and is magically eco friendly or cheaper to run. to do what i do i would spend fucking hours longer charging my car than i would to do the job, now given im a federal contractor (disability shit) i mean i can always start billing the government for the hour or so i would have to charge the car, to do a single two hour job, and be happy.... but theyll handball it to the client, and instead of having funds for shit like excercise physios and social shit, it all goes towards 'travel'
