I lived in a snowy land once, and inevitably, it was the 4 wheel drives that you would see in the ditch. They seemed to forget that just because you can go better doesn't mean you can stop better. LOL

Same. Lived in the Midwest for years where at least one four wheel drive car wasn't an option it was a necessity. Idiots in these and their multi ton trucks would drive likes another normal day.

Iowa tow bans: during snow, counties can issue tow bans, so if you go into the ditch and can't get out, you wait until plows have cleared all roads and the tow ban is lifted

Shit like this will teach you to drive right. Minnesota snow covered interstates with normal traffic was fun too.

Hey that's where I lived. Right next to the river. So steep hills not what you would picture when ya think Iowa. Needless to say most folks up there didn't play with bad winter storms. If the country kids can't go to school ya best stay put unless necessary.

Dubuque and the areas near Wisconsin and Minnesota are gorgeous. I'd drive around the driftless area of southwest Wisconsin and cross over to go to a Kwik Star.

Now I'm in Georgia...ice sucks. At least northerners get "scrape, salt and sand".

DBQ is where I'm from. Gorgeous 98% white city at the time I lived there. Chased out a bunch of section apes when they paid them to move there. Loads of old German nationalists. Could wander around at any time day or night and not worry about anything. My school looked like a fucking castle. I'd go back in a second.
