Russia (and China and best korea) are moving towards a new peer-peer warfare strategy known as 'Alpha strike'.

Current operational demands and losses are preventing the Russians from fully pivoting to this strategy.

Alpha strike uses hypersonic glide vehicles to cripple the enemy in hours 1-3 of a war.

So as an enemy, the first you will know of war being declared is not a build up of troops, or little green men...

Its the destruction of every army base, every Navy ship, every air field, every plane on the ground, every identifiable intelligence asset, major power and telecommunications infrastructure and anything else that a state might need to function.

This is also likely to include data centres, food distribution hubs, major junctions etc.

NATO has no answer to alpha strike (and no real ability to pull it off themselves).

Out navies float because our enemies allow it - let that sink in.
