First of all, why are they looking for a job at this point? Are they unemployable? Otherwise, they would have health insurance through their employer.
2nd. Sorry, but no employer is looking to hire someone to NOT do their job, duh. Yes, the world ain't always fair.
3rd. There are alternatives besides just bitching on reddit. If you have no job, request medicaid. They will pay for the surgery and follow up.
