Did SpaceX make a booboo?

[ - ] canbot 1 point 3 monthsJan 17, 2025 23:54:59 ago (+2/-1)

Spaceship disintegrated. Booster made it back to the pad safely. It looks like some of the engines did not shut down and the imbalanced thrust turned the ship sideways before it left the atmosphere.

A sad day for the greatest space program in the world. A great day for all the jews working hard to make Musk a hated man.

"It looks like some of the engines did not shut down and the imbalanced thrust turned the ship sideways before it left the atmosphere."

Scott Manley had a decent video on it along with the "official" statement. Basically there was a fuel leak in one of the spaces between the engine bay and the main tank that was beyond the venting system's capacity to handle, which seems to have caused an early shutdown. But between the loss of telemetry and the videos of it disintegrating was approximately 3 minutes. It looks like the FTS was triggered automatically, resulting in the explosion we saw, but nobody's said for sure yet.

Yeah i think that the dumb fucks detonated it having never considered what the resulting shrapnel would do to airlines.

Super smart H1B planning there!

Watch the video. This is explained. There's a safety corridor along the flight path that's announced well beforehand. When there's a problem, that corridor becomes active, resulting in the diversions and holds that happened.

So no, contingencies were considered, and apparently implemented. Hell, the entire reason they launch on the track they do is so it's always as far away from populated areas as possible It looks like the FTS was triggered automatically when the onboard systems thought it might be heading outside of the safety corridor.

As for the H1B quips, IIRC there are none at SpaceX due to ITAR regulations (which I'm sure Elon gets pissy about).

Yeah sure nigger.

Btw two things.

Spacex has been grounded for holding up air traffic across a wide swarth because the explosion created a vast unpredictable debris field.

And secondly that you think like a nigger. See above for proof.

Spacex engineers made a doo doo in the street.

That debris trail looks suspiciously like a pride flag.
