A bunch of out of state power line repair crews were turned away here after Hurricane Sandy blacked out half the state. Why? Because the local assholes wanted to hoard all the overtime/hazard pay. So it took 3 or 4 weeks to turn the power back on.

Believe me these hang ups always have ulterior motives. $$$$$$

Just a few miles from my place is the Aerodrome hangar for a squadron of CL-415 Water Bombers. When they take off their vector is due West of Marquette Michigan, a half dozen have been on standby ready to launch on demand...they were requested by California a week ago and still no orders...BC apparently has dispatched a fleet but it's not enough, which is why Ontario was asked to make up the shortfall, what gets me is why does Americongo not have water bombers...anyways, the C-415s have been waiting to go but nobody seems to be all that concerned, is it because these fires are serving a purpose?
