I don’t see the need. We’re looking at newer hardware but the improvements to the games will be marginal.
Safe to say we’ve reached an era where the bottleneck of a video game design is no longer hardware. There’s so much memory, storage, and polygons, you’ve essentially got a blank canvas with unlimited paints.
Suppose seeing the game run at higher frame rates will look very neat. One of my computer monitors at work has higher than 60 hz and the mouse cursor moves so smoothly. It’s a neat gimmick.
It connects via magnets and a latch cover. Spme third party mfr showed it at a convention last week. It isn't an outright bad design assuming the materials are good. Besides handhelds are gay, keep that shit at home.

I've always been a handheld guy, just because the time I have to play games is usually when I'm sitting in a car.
