I have spears throughout my home in tactical positions.

I'm never more than a step or two away from a backup weapon.

Intruders here will die to a naked man screaming racial slurs at them while being stabbed on repeat with an obsidian tipped spear.

I know it sounds insane, but that level of insane has never let me down.

Yes, we have guns here. I'm just saying as far as melee backups go, I'm covered.

Hahaha, that's actually a great idea. Spears are easy to use for pretty much anybody- it's the weapon that has taken the most lives (total in history) in combat, by a pretty huge margin, right next to arrows. Beneath them is probably the AK-47.

I don't think a woman should be engaging in hand-to-hand, with any weapon. It's too easy for a man of average strength to overpower a woman. They need firearms to have a real chance. If you're serious enough about home defense that you feel you need a melee weapon, there's no reason you shouldn't have a pistol and a long gun of some variety instead. And they shouldn't be locked up in a fucking safe, unloaded.

I often wonder about how many victims were killed or hurt by home invaders simply because they couldn't get to the place where their firearms were secured before the invader got to them. It's probably not a lot, but it's not zero, either.

Yea, i may or may not have a bunch of self-made 'utility items' (weapons for self-defense are unlawful where i am - not that it makes much difference in the eyes of the law at the end of the day).
Allegedly, My fav is a three-foot Billy club/ bat with a 6-inch double sided spearhead/ blade sunk into the end - a double handed thrust into the face - should hopefully take the starch out of them, and then we can begin negotiating terms ... or not.
