The author states that television makes it so that people have no common sense which leads to, as Cornell University professor Rose K. Mander's four arguments in the book to eliminate television are that telecommunication removes the sense of reality from people, television promotes capitalism, television can be used as a scapegoat, and that all three of these issues negatively work together.[5]

The Andy Griffith show wasn't to bad. Lots of good older shows were okay. Even back then though they pushed their filth. They just wasn't allowed to push it very far.

Agree, and you can get those both for free via steaming. All I watch are older shows, and there's practically an endless supply of good, wholesome, quality content. Absolutely no reason to pay for garbage TV today.

Pulled the cable out over a year ago and haven't missed it once. Don't care for today's television shows filled with faggots, DEI, and inane, moronic plots. Don't watch sports either after Burn Loot Murder, so streaming works just fine for me for what I want to see.
