I'm getting a head start to today's "Friday Night Guitar" thing with this video of one of the most badass metal bands I've heard in at least the past 10 years - VITRIOL - I was lucky to see them live as a 2 piece band last year (guitar & drums) when they were on tour and 3 members quit mid-tour for some reason.

If you're into any aggressive or extreme styles of music, check out this video which is the main guitarist's & bassist's play through of this song. I honestly can't believe the bass player isn't using a pick. The guitar player is on another level.
Their drummer is insanely fast and overall I can't believe the endurance this band has to play this fast and technical for almost 7 straight minutes.

Slayer was doing this 40 years ago. What you are hearing now is a bunch of effects which don’t make it faster, they are playing fast, but it’s so weird sounding that you think you are hearing more than what is really there. This is why I hate modern music.

What is a "delay pedal..."

If you like that, I bet you'd love The Devils of Loudun. Tech Death is something I can respect but find it a bit exhausting to listen to.

Impressive. The bass dexterity, the sweep picking interlude; I was left fairly awed by the end.

I wish less metal bands employed satanic imagery though... Ultimately it's just the other side of the semitic-religious coin. Dark/gruesome aesthetics can be achieved without appealing to alien religion (I recognize that many metal bands do just that).

Extreme technical blackened death metal.

It's like if Eddie Van Halen & Flea from RHCP or Les Claypool formed a death metal band.

Maybe, but this band is so extreme they're practically the final boss of metal. Either the rest of the members couldn't keep up with the main guy who also is the main vocalist, then the next best guess is that's is over money.
Only the band knows because nothing official has been said about it - even when I saw them - and they'll probably keep it private to preserve the integrity of the band.
