If you use sea salt it dries up the soil and makes it unreliable for vegetation to regrow.

If only someone would invent some kind of flying machine that could scoop up large amounts of water and quickly transport it through the air at hundreds of miles per hour then accurately drop it on the burning materials....if only something like that actually existed.
