Based on Roald Dahl's "The Witches" book, hot dogs are made of little children in america. And he was has a weird way of writing as if he ain't just making this stuff up.

You just blew my mind.

[ - ] TheSimulacra 2 points 3 monthsJan 8, 2025 18:04:03 ago (+2/-0)

I think he wants to blow your bologna.

That's what your mom told me about your dad.

Meatclown is made out of juggaloes.

[ - ] bosunmoon [op] 3 points 3 monthsJan 8, 2025 17:57:24 ago (+3/-0)

I've always wanted to try meat clown.

[ - ] Shitcreek 1 point 3 monthsJan 8, 2025 17:12:25 ago (+1/-0)

So that's what they do with dead juggalos.

Last time I had bologna I cut pieces up to 1/2 inch thick.

[ - ] Rotteuxx 3 points 3 monthsJan 8, 2025 19:54:05 ago (+3/-0)

1/4" to 3/8" is ideal, anything thinner or thicker doesn't get the right crunch to it. Some will argue 3/16" to 5/16" but that's because they're closet metric fags and mean 5 to 8mm.

[ - ] Sector2 2 points 3 monthsJan 8, 2025 20:09:07 ago (+2/-0)

Wait, crunch? What kind of bologna are you getting? Try some Lebanon Bologna if you haven't had it. It's an Amish bologna that's far superior/delicious to that crap they sell in stores. Unfortunately has the nitrates and all that, but is worth it once every few years.

The crunch from pan searing it in butter or bacon fat!!!

I'm not a big fan of cold cuts honestly, I like being able to tell what part of that delicious animal I'm eating.

/\ came here to say this.

[ - ] SumerBreeze 3 points 3 monthsJan 8, 2025 17:39:28 ago (+3/-0)

If you think about hot dogs as small bologna sausages, then your grasp on reality will normalize and you will more likely consider buying Hungarian bacon slices by the pound at your local deli.

[ - ] Whatthefuck 4 points 3 monthsJan 8, 2025 19:29:41 ago (+4/-0)

Hungarian bacon is amazing. Any real traditional smoked/cured meats are amazing. That "bacon" from the grocery store is 50% water, that's why it's so cheap.

Now I can't stop thinking about how coolwhip is just melted shitty vanilla ice cream.
Thanks.

Now think about hauling a dairy cow up into a subtemperature/freezing mountain area.

[ - ] BoozyB 1 point 3 monthsJan 8, 2025 19:07:49 ago (+1/-0)

Don't eat that shit.

I haven't had it since my grandmother died in 98.

[ - ] Sector2 1 point 3 monthsJan 8, 2025 20:11:17 ago (+1/-0)

I might have had some in the 70s, but was even still a television watching kid back then.

[ - ] Ragnar 1 point 3 monthsJan 8, 2025 21:54:13 ago (+1/-0)

Not even close, bro

[ - ] VitaminSieg 1 point 3 monthsJan 8, 2025 18:09:02 ago (+1/-0)

A hotdog is just a kind of open-faced sandwich. What's your point?

[ - ] bosunmoon [op] 1 point 3 monthsJan 8, 2025 18:10:47 ago (+1/-0)

Have you ever boiled bologna?

[ - ] HonkyMcNiggerSpic 1 point 3 monthsJan 8, 2025 18:12:27 ago (+1/-0)

I like pickled bologna. We do deep fried bologna sammiches once in a while too

[ - ] NaturalSelectionistWorker 1 point 3 monthsJan 8, 2025 18:36:37 ago (+1/-0)

I wouldn't know, I don't eat bologna and only eat high end grass fed beef hot dogs on occasion.

[ - ] dirtywhiteboy 1 point 3 monthsJan 8, 2025 19:58:06 ago (+1/-0)

it took you this long to realize this?

[ - ] GrayDragon 4 points 3 monthsJan 8, 2025 20:20:02 ago (+4/-0)

Sits in a public school. Asks the question why are you expending resources to educate me?

[ - ] Trope 1 point 3 monthsJan 8, 2025 21:15:42 ago (+1/-0)

My only goal here in these comments is to defend both bologna and frankfurters. Both are great food options so long as you purchase quality products.

I don’t want to hear anyone trash talk hotdogs.

[ - ] Ragnar 1 point 3 monthsJan 8, 2025 21:52:48 ago (+1/-0)

Duh

[ - ] Puller_of_Noses 1 point 3 monthsJan 8, 2025 22:34:17 ago (+1/-0)

LPT:
If you want a bologna sandwich and you're all out of bologna, you can take a hotdog and slice it with an exacto knife into little dime size pieces.
It may take the better part of an hour, but there you go.

[ - ] CoronaHoax 1 point 3 monthsJan 8, 2025 23:31:05 ago (+1/-0)

yup! I just realized this recently too.. Was pretty disappointed, or something.

[ - ] x0x7 1 point 3 monthsJan 9, 2025 00:04:20 ago (+1/-0)

A hotdog is just cooked bologna.
