For basic cash-like transactions, it takes too much power, infrastructure and computing power to process the hash, for a simple transaction.

The power, fuck me. Do any of you realize how much electricity it takes to run a crypto network? I do, I actually wrote my own memcoin. It will never scale as the cost of doing the transaction is way higher then the actual transaction.

So that leaves it as an investment vehicle. A store for wealth. Shyt, the volatility of crypto!!!!! Wealth will never be safe. Which means no one real, will ever fully embrace it or adopt it in any mainstream way.

Which means it has to be regulated, just like a fucking IRA or 401K. Which means you will lose the "overnight got rich" aspect of it, that everyone is secretly pushing for and at that point it's no better then any other investment.


Desktop Quantum computing is here. I can buy one today. I can buy timeslices on the q mainframes for mere dollars, today.
Q computing will allow breaking and overwriting the hashes in about .5 miliseconds.

If you go searching in the whitepapers, it sounds like it's already been done and the fucking chinese have even better and faster q computers then the west currently has.

wait till the AI systems like CGTP5 or 6 get a hold of it. No one is even thinking about this one yet. I've yet to see any discussion or whitepapers on this particular aspect, but it won't be good. What is gold's intangible value? Can you eat it? People hold it because they believe they will be able to sell or trade it for value in the future. No different than Bitcoin. Gold can be used in electronics but the value of that is nowhere near the current price.
