Maybe this a controversial opinion, but if you're so old that your body is beginning to fail, should it not be assumed that your brain is also beginning to slowly fail? I know the falling is an AI generation, but needing a walker is not. That woman is one fall away from leaving her position empty, and I am not very familiar with the process of replacing a senator/rep that passed away.

There needs to be both term limits and an age limit for roles like this. It's not a crazy ask, IMO. A 75-year-old, unmarried, childless geriatric has NO BUSINESS deciding what happens to the future of the country. Not only might their capability to make good decisions be degrading, but they also have no skin in the game: when they die, that's it.

They aren't concerned with a future passed their own death. Would you be? If you had a child who is going to grow up in the country that you are helping to shape, wouldn't you try to make decisions that would lead to the best possible future for your children?
