I'd like to know where these numbers come from.
A quick search shows me over the past 10 years IL has 9-12 homicides per 100k, MO has 6-9/100k while Arkansas had 6-8/100k.
It looks like it really depends on which terms you use to search for the info though. Regardless, I have a very hard time believing homicide rates are higher in MO than IL.
