Something I've noticed, employers have this attitude that they own you, your time, your work. There is no delineation anymore between personal live and company life, its all one big blur.
Fair enough, unions can go to far. But look at massive globalist companies that literally lobby congress to get whatever laws past that suits them? That where we are now. At least unions got something for the little guy
Just want to share some perspective on unions from what I’ve seen.
Worked for Honeywell, making ring laser gyros for planes/bombs (navigational tech).
Union was due for new contract. To prepare, Honeywell paid a bunch of dumb niggers from all over the country to fly in and prepare the unions replacement. Paid for all their airfare, food, hotel, plus a wage that matched or exceeded the union employees.
These were some dumb fucking niggers, their career is literally working with these “scab” agencies and flying around the country to replace striking unions.
The battle is between how much a corporation is willing to lose in production and how long a striking worker can go with reduced wages. Given that much of the union is a bunch of lowly niggers, that probably isn’t long. Perhaps that’s a corporate strategy to hiring or maybe just the state of the modern workforce. Nepotism is always a factor into hiring as well (More lowly niggers).
In the case of Honeywell, they were willing to spend a fucking shit load of money to battle the union. One of the line supervisors told me they were hoping the union would strike, because then they’d be able to replace the shitty workers and rehire the good ones.
In the end, union leadership caved to the third offer, which was shittier than the first two. Corporate kept reducing the offer every week.
It was hard to paint a picture of who was the bad guy/good guy.
Unions have become weak and are only as good as the people in them. I think much of the best and brightest have chosen careers that don’t have unions, leaving mostly shit workers to fill them. Obviously there are exceptions.
I’ve seen multiple unions take on a work ethic that’s goal is to literally work as slow as possible, so as to keep standards to a minimum.
In the end, it’s our collective society that makes up the ethics/integrity of corporations and unions alike. Garbage in, garbage out. They both hate eachother and they should.
This was somewhat of a ramble and I’m not trying to teach you anything, just posting to share perspective.
It's a good perspective, thanks for posting. Union overreact is not good, you need good people in there.
One of the line supervisors told me they were hoping the union would strike, because then they’d be able to replace the shitty workers and rehire the good ones.
Exactly what Musk and Trump want with the H1B visa. Replace American works with immigrants with no rights and a fraction of the pay.
Goes in line with trying to make DIE pervasive enough that it continues at home. It only works when it involves wagies who can be pushed around though; its weakness shows when it encounters people in a position to say no, find someone else.
I've thrown policy documents in the trash, refused to use anyone e-mail system beyond my own, refused to provide photos for access cards, ignored every message unrelated to projects (including "mandatory" online BS), and insisted on meetings being in-person. Shunning anything/anyone superfluous was only ever beneficial!
Back in the day, workers were absolutely exploited. Unions were a good thing, in the beginning. Of course, the jew turned it into a corrupt system. US electronics, steel, textile etc industries were eventually destroyed by unions. Too much of a good thing.
With globalization they get even more competition for labor. I would say that the answer is to start your own business, but that will only get you so far when they own the government.
This is 100% the employee's fault, not the employer.
Work for a shit wage. - Duuh... ok. Be on call at all hours without compensation. - Duuh... ok.
Now, I am going to give you the best job advice you will ever hear - You have ONLY ONE bargaining chip. You have ONLY ONE thing of value to a company.
That ONE THING is whether or not you show up again tomorrow.
You want a raise or promotion - Why should they give you one? If they don't, you'll still show up again tomorrow. Which means they don't lose anything if they refuse, and don't gain anything if they do.
They are a business. They aren't going to just randomly give you more money or better working conditions if they'll get nothing in return, and/or lose nothing by refusing.
The only thing you have is the threat that if they don't give you a raise, promotion, better working conditions - that you won't show up again tomorrow.
But be aware that it may be in the employer's best interests or more profitable for them to watch you walk away. Don't expect a rocket surgeon's wage if you're shovelling manure. The only value you have is how important it is for you to show up again tomorrow, or next month, or next year.
The reasons you make a shit wage, or have shitty working conditions, is because - - You're incapable of proving it's beneficial to the company to give you more in order to keep you as an employee. - You are capable of proving you're worth more, but too scared to quit. - Or, you just aren't worth it.
If we don't we won't have any job at all and will end up homeless and starving.
Be on call at all hours without compensation.
If you aren't and keep missing calls you'll be fired and end up homeless and starving. This one is especially annoying as it requires paying out of pocket for a cell phone, cell phone service and making sure that the battery never dies.
That ONE THING is whether or not you show up again tomorrow.
Employees can be replaced with minimal effort and loss, however it's near impossible to get a job.
If we don't (work for a shit wage) we won't have any job at all and will end up homeless and starving.
In other words, you're ready, willing, and able to accept a job that has a shit wage. Why should a company pay millions of dollars for parts, materials, ingredients, that they can buy for hundred's? Why should a company pay millions for labor, when they can get the same labor for hundreds?
And, why should I pay $1,000 for a loaf of bread, if the store is willing to sell that loaf of bread to me for $1?
you'll be fired and end up homeless and starving
You didn't read what I wrote. Prove that it's more beneficial for the company to keep you, and they will. The problem isn't the company. It's that you can't prove your worth.
Employees can be replaced with minimal effort and loss
That's the point. Prove your worth, and it'll be more beneficial for the company to make sure you show up again tomorrow.
And again, why should I have to pay $1,000 for a loaf of bread, when the store down the street is willing to sell me one that's equally as good for $1? Why should I be forced to pay $1,000 for a gallon of gas, loaf of bread, or whatever, just because I have the money?
Why should these companies be allowed to pay their laborers like shit
Answer - Capitalism.
If one gas station is charging $100 for a gallon of gas, and another is willing to sell it at $3 a gallon - Why should I be forced to pay $100?
If one person wants $100/hour and someone else is willing to work for a shit wage - Why should the company be forced to pay $100/hour?
It's called Capitalism. If someone is willing to sell you gas at $3 a gallon, then you're allowed to buy gas from them at that price. If someone is willing to work for a shit wage, then a company is allowed to pay them a shit wage.
If you own a gas station and you need to sell gas at $9 a gallon to stay in business, then your business is going to fail. If someone is willing to do a job for a shit wage, and you can't prove you're better than them - Then either you're working for a shit wage, or you aren't working.
Why are you allowing this to happen? I don’t get any calls after hours nor do I check email and I work for a large corporation. Even if I did I would ignore them.
Because the alternative is losing your home, being forced onto the street, starving and becoming unemployable because nowhere wants to hire someone homeless.
the only time i felt this way was when working in a job with on-call responsibilities. on-call is some bull ass shit, although i’ve had coworkers who love it. on-call compensation is never adequate, imo, and fuck taking a call at 9pm as you are going to bed.
the other sleazy maneuver is the non-comp that prevents you from working for competitors or clients. its big red flag if a potential employer ever floats a non-comp at you.
your employer does own your work though, if its work you are being paid by them to do. or using your employer’s equipment. and they do kinda own your time whatever the agreed upon shift is, if you want to continue being employed.
You were compensated for being on-call? Most people are motivated by the threat of job loss so we stay contactable at all times and at a moment's notice.
Depends on how you carry yourself, which is life in general. You let them do it once without checking it,it's on you till you change it. Keep taking a knee to that kike at your CHOICE!
Yes. A batterer batters on a need-to-batter basis. When a boss comes upon someone who will batter back, he or she has to decide how rough it's gonna get.

Teachers union for example fucked over kids by forcing bad teachers to be paid the same as good and prevent firings.
Why?
Because good or bad, both pay the same subs.
Plus unions become political lobby groups that lead to nigger shit like no kids left behind .

Why should these companies be allowed to pay their laborers like shit while those with easier and less demanding jobs get paid far more?
Workers have no bargaining power when companies can just ship in Pajeet from india to steal the job.
Impossible, I have no leverage.
