2. We know that Russia has only lost 1000 tank crews. That puts dead Russian tanks in the low hundreds not in the many thousands. (Meanwhile most of nato army east 2000 tanks are gone and for good).

This neans Russia has refurbished thousands more tanks than they have deployed to Ukraine.

Yea, i recall around 2022 shortly after it all kicked off, reading some threads somewhere online about the pro/ cons of autoloaders in Russian vs West/ NATo tanking requirements - autoloaders to me seem likely more beneficial overall for a number of reasons than not - the majority of commentators (pro west/ Ukraine supporters) were not only shit bagging Russian tank tech as outdated/ cheap/ easily destroyed scrap etc but purposely ridiculing autoloaders basically as prone to malfunction and needing too much maintenance to continue operating at peak performance.
I'm think of the quote 'quantity is a quality all it's own' is apt.

Plus, I just see it as russia just having different emphasis / requirements based on their warfare doctrine.

Yet western tanks have huge costs and tradeoffs to defend against frontal canon strikes.

I do like the upgrade Ukrainian t64 armoured ammo carousels too. Russia should utilize that.
