How to send a letter with no return address?

submitted by anon to AnonTalk 4 monthsJan 5, 2025 03:33:49 ago (+7/-0)     (AnonTalk)

So say I wanted to send a money order to a p.o. box, but I didn't want to write my name and return address, what would be the best way to go about this?

Do I make up a fake name/address?

Send with No return address?

Make the return address the same as the recipient?

Thanks in advance.

I'm a zoomer so I've never sent anything in the mail b4.

Send with no return address. Wear gloves when handling envelope and it's contents. Don't lick envelope, use water, or the kind with a peel away sticky strip. Wear a hat or hair net to prevent stray hairs from falling into envelope. Make sure to decontaminate everything with rubbing alcohol, and then fire.

Good luck brother.

they scan/x-ray all the mail in the US system for security since the anthrax scare. Have for over two decades now.

They'll see the cash and flag it. Wrap it in paper or use a padded yellow envelope or your cash won't make it. (pretty sure they can scan those too, but you gotta try)

I can just put it in a hallmark card right? I got $100 bill in a card no problem last month.

It's not illegal to mail cash unless you're talking $10k or something

Put the actual address on the return address section.

Write a fucked up send to address so it gets rejected by the system and returned to the address you want it to be sent to.

Is it mail fraud? Yes
Is it a felony? Yes
Will you get caught if you do it once? Maybe, I personally doubt it, but don't be your life on my thoughts.

Don't put a return address and it will go to the place you wrote in the send to area. Simple.

[ - ] anon 3670360 [op] 1 point 4 monthsJan 5, 2025 11:36:35 ago (+1/-0)

Nowadays it's all about teaching white hate and how to twerk.

Taught to receive not send. What a joke.

Don’t overthink this. Just format it well, use a false addy if you please but make it a real address and add a modifier like an appt # or something. Get the postage correct, and you’ll be fine. Dont listen to the people telling you about fraud. You haven’t done anything fraudulent. They would never look beyond it at face value. Its just a letter like millions of others in the mail everyday. There is no drugs or anything. Dont sweat it. You could just leave the return blank. It wont stop it from being mailed. You could even just put a false last name, and nothing else in the return area. You should see some of the abortions people call “filled out envelopes “ and it gets through just fine. If you really want to seem legit, put something like “billing documents enclosed” on the envelope as well.

And millions of drugs of all kinds get mailed daily. Unless there's an investigation and a hold placed on the addressees mail they won't look at it twice.

Just don't put anything in the return address area. It's not required.

The only concern is that if it gets "lost" in mail, you'll never see it again.

You can write whatever return address you want to. An old trick for getting free mail was to write the recipients address as the return and "forget" a stamp. the post office would "return" it to them.

How fucking jewish do you have to be to do that ?

[ - ] FreeinTX 0 points 4 monthsJan 5, 2025 09:20:07 ago (+0/-0)

This doesn't work. Do not try.

[ - ] Her0n 0 points 4 monthsJan 5, 2025 11:30:17 ago (+0/-0)

Put a stamp, but fuck up the send to address. The automated system will send it to the right place.

[ - ] FreeinTX 1 point 4 monthsJan 5, 2025 12:17:04 ago (+1/-0)

No.

Let's say I'm in Austin and try to send a letter to Los Angeles without a stamp by putting the LA address in the sender's area. The postmaster in Austin isn't going to send the letter to LA.

They aren't retarded. If the sender was actually in LA, the mistaken stamp less letter would have been caught in LA. They get post marked before they get entered into the system.

There are bags of undeliverable mail at the post office. It will end up there with no ability to be claimed because you didn't put any way to identify it as yours.

Edit. Sorry. I misread. If you put a stamp on it, why not just use the correct address in the address area?

[ - ] anon 1310968 0 points 4 monthsJan 6, 2025 01:39:31 ago (+0/-0)

it used to work but i doubt it does now. the point isn't to save a stamp (cheap ass mufucker) it was to illustrate to this zoomer retard how mail works.

Just send some cash wrapped in some paper.

It ain't that hard.

You can write anything you want on the return address. You can write the recipient's address on the return address and on the recipient's address.

The only thing that return address is good for is to send it back to you if they can't find the address you're sending it to. If you're sure the address you're sending it to is correct then put it in the return address place as well as on the front of the envelope.

Don't write fake addresses on mail. They might get you for fraud or some weird thing.

Remember if you're buying a money order it's going to have your name or something on it anyway. So if you want to remain anonymous just send some cash.

it's mostly anonymous.

[ - ] anon 3670360 [op] 3 points 4 monthsJan 5, 2025 04:42:25 ago (+3/-0)

Thanks. Recipient address in both slots sound like the best bet.

Hypothetically if I sent cash, and used a fake address and dropped it in a random postal drop, how could they trace it back to me for 'fraud'? Don't say finger prints, because I'm wearing gloves in this scenario.

[ - ] FreeinTX 1 point 4 monthsJan 5, 2025 09:21:16 ago (+1/-0)

Don't lick the stamp.

[ - ] Nosferatjew 1 point 4 monthsJan 5, 2025 13:11:58 ago (+1/-0)

Especially since they are all sticky-back now.

I seal mine with smegma.

[ - ] JudyStroyer 0 points 4 monthsJan 5, 2025 09:20:27 ago (+0/-0)

I would have to assume they would assume you wrote it incorrectly. You could use a real address and just add something like “apt3b” to is and they would just assume you fucked something up. But they would never even check. You are mailing a letter. They dont gaf. Just put the correct postage on it, have it formatted like you arent a complete retard and send the fuckin thing.

[ - ] anon 8036221 1 point 4 monthsJan 5, 2025 13:18:13 ago (+1/-0)

No it's not. Next to the postage stamp, theres an automatic feeder that stamps the city/town its being sent FROM!

[ - ] FreeinTX 0 points 4 monthsJan 5, 2025 09:21:54 ago (+0/-0)

Money orders don't have your name on them.

[ - ] Steelerfish 1 point 4 monthsJan 5, 2025 18:36:01 ago (+1/-0)

But it’s easy enough to trace back who purchased it via security cameras.
That being said,- there’s always the COVID virtue-signaling face diaper when purchasing…

[ - ] FreeinTX 0 points 4 monthsJan 5, 2025 21:13:58 ago (+0/-0)

Not really.
