My proposed solution to salvage the website

As you can see, the fan will keep the server cool. The lack of the top panel will save money as we won’t need to shop for a replacement. This is only the second revision so far.

Almost no money.

Based on everything we’ve learned from @apocaloptomisto , we should be able to source microchips from neighboring farmers through trade and barter.

They will be used parts though.

Not a bad idea but running the site out of your own home is a bad idea. As soon as you (((they))) figure out the site is out of a residential area they will DDOS the entire subnet telling the ISP to cut you off or the DDOS won't stop. And the ISP will claiming they stopped a cyber attack when he reality they bent the knee to the kike.

I would love to know the actual breakdown of IT costs for a site that has like 300 to a thousand people on it exchanging minimal text.

This thing is not Facebook, Reddit or Twitter. This site has got to be a factor of 10 smaller than the original voat.

If system wants help he'll ask for it. If not we probably need to just register another domain and install some Reddit clone.

I'm just having a hard time fathoming how his server cost went from $400 to $1,000.
