Argentina’s security forces have announced plans to use artificial intelligence to “predict future crimes”

The country’s far-right president Javier Milei this week created the Artificial Intelligence Applied to Security Unit, which the legislation says will use “machine-learning algorithms to analyse historical crime data to predict future crimes”. It is also expected to deploy facial recognition software to identify “wanted persons”, patrol social media, and analyse real-time security camera footage to detect suspicious activities.

While the ministry of security has said the new unit will help to “detect potential threats, identify movements of criminal groups or anticipate disturbances”, the Minority Report-esque resolution has sent alarm bells ringing among human rights organisations.

As always, solving crime is the excuse to fund the project. This is a system that they are testing out on criminals in some other country. Once they figure it out, work out the bugs etc, they'll use it to find any wrong-think. Like anti-semites.

The thing is what to do with a country full of criminals if you want to turn the situation around with limited resources...

In a nice white societies you don't need much police or security measures. This is why it's so important to keep them that way.

fun facty: this is already being rolled out int he states.

Cop cars get facial recognition system in their cameras, hooked to the AI DB.

As they drive by, they can scan anyone for anything. Also have it hooked up to the static cameras all over town they are linked up too.


Just rolled it out in two cities in my state.
