Here's the thing with Elon. Even if his points are sound (which I'm not saying they are), the public that supported him does not support his position on h1b. It won't matter if he's right if the public turns against him. If he continues to stick to it and enflame the base, he will get burned.

His points aren't remotely sound. There is a reason SpaceX, Tesla and X are in Texas and not India or Africa. He is suggesting that he needs cheap high skilled labor to stay competitive, but competitive against who, exactly? Whose he competing against and where are they getting their workers? Betting they aren't HQ'd in India or Africa.
