You love your children and your children will love their children. That's how biology works.

Somehow some parents expect the same kind of love from the children towards their parents, which is retarded, because that's not how species survive.
For example, i don't expect my children to love me after they have grown up, but i will expect that they will love their children.

Relationships are hard. My family are not biological. It's old friends etc. However I would do all I can for my kids and even my ex. Just how I am I guess. I don't need or even want them to reciprocate. I do love and respect some of you people tho. Somehow I trust, respect and love you lunatics. I can talk with goats about things I would never discuss with someone else. Relationships are hard.

Not all "parents" love their children.

Life imprisonment without the possibility of parole, holy fucking shit. What was she like during the trial? I don't remember hearing about it. Did she not show any remorse? British nobility hates that no matter what it relates to.

My parents don't really give a shit about me and my sister. I've literally been on my own since I was 16.

And that’s ok, man. Let that experience give you strength, and know when the time comes to love someone, do it with all your soul because you know from experience what the alternative does to a person. This doesn’t mean that there is no chance of getting hurt, but know you gave it your all.

I reconnected with my sister about ten years back and it was amazing. After I was kicked out of the house, my Mom eventually turned her anger on my sister.

That’s great to hear about you and your sis, man.

Yeah, it's really interesting how we have bonded again through our shit parents.

Be careful about trauma bonding with her. That wouldn't be a good relationship to have. Sounds like your mother is a narcissist, and she should be left all alone to wallow in misery.

I haven't had contact with my Mother since 1999, my sister hasn't had contact with her since 2005.

Good for both of you.

Once you have kids your parents and whatever they did won’t matter anymore.

And it’ll be your chance to do better.

You'd make a great parent.

How do I know this? Because you hate your parents, thus you will act in a way that your children will not hate you.

Thank you, I appreciate the support.

You should be careful of love to love with everything is to love madly. Children are called dependents because they depend on you for shelter food and education. Because of that they depend on you to show them how to live a good life.

Yep. My children owe me nothing and I expect nothing. Despite pouring the majority of my time, energy, and money into raising them ... they are their own people.

This is just a microcosm of a broader healthy and successful society.

Thanks. My woman is struggling with the fact that she loves her children way more than they love her.
I've tried unsuccessfully to explain that is how it is. Children are by necessity selfish, just because they are adults doesn't change the fact that they are still her CHILDREN.

That family dynamic doesn't change.

All she has to do is reflect on her feelings for her parents.

Children make you love them. You want the same? Do the same.
