I used to pray for strength, courage, and wisdom.

I learned to stop praying for wisdom because you only gain wisdom when faced with unforeseen challenges where all kinds of shit can go wrong and you learn a lot. These days, I only pray for strength and courage and things have been much smoother. lol

yeah we at times dont know what to pray and ask some questionable petitions that we think are good but in reality will answer in a special way. most often through trials and tribulations.

i have prayed for patience and what i got a few trials that i'm still going under.

again, becareful of what you pray for!

I'm an idiot I prayed for God to make my life hard because I can handle it and in return to make things good for my daughter and family.

Man he delivered a narricist demon to destroy me now I'm recovering from that experience but my daughter is doing good and my family I'm hitting hard financial times too.

I'm turning to the normal goat plans and stoicism...

Working out even more eating healthy and buckling down doing anything and everything to make my bills.

The insane thing is I would be totally fine if it wasn't for property taxes that evil shit is what is fucking me and my laid back attitude.

Drop a prayer for me goats I'll do the same just not asking for more difficulty this time I'm good God thanks

I rarely pray for myself. My main focus of prayer is for God's protection for my kids and siblings.

There's not some magical old man in the sky that spends his day micromanaging your life and wishes. I don't believe in magic, fairy tales, disney movies or the bible.

I’m generally with you on this sentiment.

However, I believe there is something in the human psyche that makes it real for all intents on purposes. Prayers for others are proven useless. But prayers for strength may as well work as affirmations.

Wisdom is gained through doing. Strentgh is gained through exercise. Courage is gained by setting you jaw and putting steel in your spine.

no, moron he just uses that prayer and answers it to build your character. we really dont know what to ask, that's why the holy spirit makes intercession for us.

I stopped praying for wisdom as well, and for the same reason. We should have prayed for wisdom for everybody else too.
