Every Monday I meet with a group of female friends in a London restaurant. We sit at a table near the window and discuss our lives.

We have many things in common. We are all in our mid-50s and highly educated career women. But there is a vacuum in our lives. We are all single and childless.

I increasingly feel, as do many of my intimates, that feminism has failed our generation. I grew up with its beliefs. No, strike that. I was force-fed them.

i have a family member that is going thru a crisis right now. she is 45 and has started to dress like a teen. the whole family is dumbfounded by her behavior. something that she didnt do when she was a teen either.

yes i agree that women are led by emotions. imagine not wanting to get old and fight the impossible aging battle at 45.

she buys all the shit that they sell on tv that promises to lose her weight and keep her in shape. oh the vanity!

the kids are almost teens but she has no hubby since she divorced her kid's father a few years ago.

we are stumped because she is dressing in tank tops and tight jeans and all that shit.

my family is pretty concerned about her. she might do something stupid next. the good news is that she went to beach the other day and "according" to her some young guy approached her in order to seduce her but she declined because he was "according to her" 20 years younger.

the other side of the coin is that older men are starting to hit on her hard too HAHAHA
