You guys ever see any of the Cube films?
It’s a very simple premise: A group of people wake up in a seemingly infinite labyrinth of interconnected cube rooms full of death traps. I enjoy simple plots as they can often be very creative.
Anyway, there’s a Japanese one that was released in 2021 now available with English subtitles. It was ok. Not much different than the original. Japs put their own twist on it.
I always thought the coolest part other than the massive moving cube was the fact that it appeared to be suspended in some infinite void. At least that's how I remember it.
I tried watching Aeon Flux the other day and just laughed for a while at how ridiculously stupid it was and then stopped paying attention. Movies don't have the same appeal they used to.
Being able to perceive up/down + left/right + front/back implies being within a cube...not interconnected with, but set apart from one another. That's why only one way out (inception towards death) for each one within (life).
