It was my understanding that there was a federal law banning obscene names, but I just checked: Only Louisiana and New Jersey do. I assume because both states are shitholes filled with shitheads who tested boundaries, ala mother of the year here.

Also just learned that if parents cannot agree on a name in Florida, the state will choose. That's darkly amusing for some reason.

Edit: New Mexico specifically bans: Baby Boy/Girl, Male, Female, and King, so "Vagina" would probably be legally dark grey there and presumably not allowed. They didn't ban "Queen" because apparently the fed already did, along with Messiah, Jesus Christ, Adolf Hitler (rent free, lol), III (wtf?), Majesty, @ (wtf?), and 1069 (also wtf!?).

True story, NZ back around the 90's - heavily pregnant FOB (fresh off the boat) Samoan arrives in NZ, did not make it in time to the hospital, had the child on the side of the road - in homage to the child's new homeland, mother gave it's middle name after the first 'European' thing she saw - Fa'a-diabeetus 'Bus Stop' Tua'epipen.
