I remember with signal something about the developer getting a 200k payment from the FBI or CIA(I don't remember which) and that has never been answered(unless I missed it) as to why and what that money was for, had all of that been forgotten or answered or don't you know?.
I was am early adopter if signal and I do use it for communication with family and close friends , I don't do any social media.
