Repealing the 17th Amendment would give Republicans an instant majority in the Senate

I probably counted wrong but 28 state legislatures are controlled Republicans and would send two Senators. That would be 56.

The 17th is unconstitutional. It was not legally passed. No one’s going to be changing anything that jews don’t want changed.

I don't want dems or reps in control of anything.

What I want is less taxes and more security due to less fucking around outside of the American border and more fucking around inside of it by securing it.

Fuck those 535 lying, cheating, corrupt cock suckers.

I’d rather repeal the 13th and 19th and be done with it.

Fair enough. Both our solutions would probably have the same end outcome.

It seems very unlikely that any change the Constitution will ever occur unless/until there is a seismic shift in the USA.

Getting 3/4 of the States to agree on anything is going to be impossible.

It's 2/3 of both houses to amend and it's 34 States to call a convention.
Currently the total sits at 19.

I'm not sure what you are saying.

Here is the limit of what I understand - it takes 2/3 of both houses to propose an amendment, OR 2/3 of all States to call a convention to propose an amendment.

To ratify an amendment it takes 2/3 of both houses AND 3/4 of the States. Congress cannot force the States to accept an amendment just by the 2/3 rule, all the States get a say.

The only thing they agree on is increased salary for themselves.
