All you need is at least 2 simultaneous video recordings to triangulate the location of gunfire and how many guns are firing (using the audio). 3 or more videos and you can pinpoint their exact location in 3D space.
There was plenty of cell phone video. People in the crowd, one or two taxi drivers, inside the casino as the arab was being escorted out by around 20 guys. Video of the helicopters by at least a couple people.
Who knows what actually happened, but there was a lot of video.
