I used an off brand cartridge and it worked fine right until it updated. After the update NOTHING so I called HP. They said the cartridge was at fault and that I should use an HP.
He was quiet when I told it had worked fine until the update.
Never again, NOTHING from HP. The printers were more or less junk/disposable anyway(I've had three) with all the ink clogs, wireless disconnect, paper jams and endless updates.
Two things that I got rid of to improve my internet experience, windows and hp.
That is fucking insane. I absolutely hate bullshit laws and absolutely support right to repair, that bullshit is insane. It's like John Deere not allowing people that buy their equipment to repair it themselves, or Apple, or the warranty is void.
Not only is their ink too expensive, their print drivers suck. I have great difficulty getting HP printers connected and configured. There was a time when HP meant the best you could buy. That ended when Carly Fiorina was CEO.
You got that right. It was only a matter of time for HP. I used to work at HP as a temp in the mid 90s and their culture was becoming extremely PC. They started with good intentions, wanting to make it a comfortable work environment with lax rules, because the company culture was so strong that everyone was enthusiastic about keeping company standards of discipline, excellence, and high quality. It really was a great place to work, and even a weirdo like me could fit in because they appreciated the quality of my work. I left in 1997 but kept the great lessons I learned there.
I remember when Fiorina was made CEO of HP in 1999. I was working in Silicon Valley then and knew it was the beginning of the end. In July 2001, two giant tech companies, HP and JDSU, announced global layoffs resulting in 31,000 job cuts. Incredibly, after all that, she began a campaign to take over Compaq in order for HP to enter the personal computer market, an acquisition that everyone in the company said was wrong-headed and pointless. It resulted in the destruction of Compaq, a huge reduction in force for Compaq, and a tremendous loss for HP. It was only her successors that managed the integration of Compaq's IP with HP's.
Fiorina is a destroyer. That is what she does and why she was hired at HP. They tried to make her governor of California but the tech workers were too vocal out there and shut her down. She still pales in comparison to Meg Whitman. She has failed her way to being Ambassador to Kenya. Fitting she got dumped in Obama's birth country.
Yeah sure. The companies run by men are much better these days. Its not like every single corporation completely fucked us, regardless of who ran it, right?
Why do wine aunts have to take everything personally. We in the tech field KNOW when HP started its decline; and it was when that fucking CEO took over. This isn't about you.
Why do wine aunts have to take everything personally.
Bulverism. Speculate all you want about my state of mind — its irrelevant. Only relevant is the veracity of my assertion— that blaming wahmen because of Carly Fiorina is arbitrary. All CEOs suck and all major corporations have gone downhill and fucked their loyal customer base, regardless of the sex of the CEO. Every single one. There are no male run corporations that haven’t made a left turn in to the shit pile in the last 30 years. I don’t care about your feels.

Yeah, she fucked up everything for that company.

How about this? Some of us can't open any pomf links if there's an extra '2' tagged on.
